Art Hamilton is a Project Management and Education Specialist with over 28 years experience in development project work and international education administration. After spending some of his formative years in Africa and the Caribbean where his father worked with External Aid/CIDA, he took a Master's Degree from the University of Oregon in Development Program Administration. He worked for a nearly a decade on a CIDA-funded institutional building project in Borneo managed by the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education.
Art obtained further project experience through CIDA partnership projects in the Philippines (aquaculture and fishery development), Jordan, Indonesia and Thailand (institutional development and government administrator training programs) and in the Middle East (programming for conflict resolution). He also worked for a number of years on international education initiatives through British Columbia's public post secondary education system, gathering substantial experience and personal ties in over twenty countries in the Asia Pacific, in Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Caribbean. His current work with GeoSpatial/SALASAN is in Cambodia on a project to help build a land management and administration system for the country.
Art brings to the firm experience in project and program management, monitoring and evaluation, institutional capacity building, education administration, governance, and administration across cultures. He currently lives in Victoria with his family
