RON HEWITT, Q.C.


Ron Hewitt has 30 years of wide-ranging policy development expertise, project and program management experience and legal expertise. With a quarter century of experience at the senior level of the Government of Saskatchewan, Ron is expert in governance, public policy and legislation and law reform. He has been instrumental in fundamental reforms in the justice system, including dispute resolution systems, court administration, court processes, registry systems and land titles.

Since joining GeoSpatial/SALASAN in March of 2003, Ron has worked internationally as the monitor for several CIDA Legal and Judicial Reform project in Bangladesh, China, Vietnam and the West Bank.

He was the Project Director of the Agricultural Development in Mine Affected Areas (ADMAC) Project in Northwest Cambodia, which ended in February 2010 and is the Project Director for the Cambodia Land Administration Support Project (CLASP)(formerly, Land Management and Administration Project (LMAP).

With extensive experience in program administration and project management, Ron has demonstrated ability to manage change, motivate stakeholders and achieve consensus and agreement on major initiatives. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of GeoSpatial International Inc./SALASAN in May of 2005.
